Patelco Credit Union / loan modification
I contacted Patelco in May of 2012 to assist me in a loan modification. My loan is 250,000 upside down with an interest rate of 6.5%.
I have lost about 1,000 a month income and requested a hardship loan modification. Patelco denied my first request and failed to notify me. I called them and was told that I failed to meet the criteria. I requested a second review (which I'm entitled to by their rules) and they told me I had passed the 30 day period.
I explained that they never notified me of the first denial - needless to say I was denied the second review. I have since made multiple attempts to contact various levels of management at Patelco (to included president Ken Burns kburns@***.org) with absolutely no response. I am begin ignored. I checked HUD and found that I should actually qualify for a $600.00 loan modification at the least.
I am writing this to simply say that Patelco does not care...period.
I will be working with HUD and am working towards legal counsel. Updates to come.....

Patelco credit union is the worst place to take your mortgage business.

We have been contacted by several persons at Patelco who have stated they wish to assist us. I am hoping that things up to this point may have been a misunderstanding of sorts and am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
We will update this complaint appropriately as we move through the process. Thank you Patelco for taking these first steps toward a resolution.
